Vintage Visage cashmere and silk yarns

At Vintage Visage we commission our own range of luxury yarns. We know what a labour of love knitting and crochet is and so we felt that if you were going to put a lot of love and effort into making an item, it deserves to be made form the best yarn....all of our yarns feel wonderfully soft to the touch and knit up warm and cuddly due to their warm natural fibres

We have several yarns currently in our range and often have limited edition special offers too. We always try to keep cream and black in stock as they are classic colours and can be mixed with other colours very successfully, but many of our colours will change with the seasons. This does mean that at the end of the season we often have a few odd balls of each colour which we sell off at a bargain price on the website as they are non-repeatable, so keep an eye out for those!

We have chunky aran weight yet lightweight alpaca merino which is very soft,

Cashmere silk and merino 4 ply weight- very smooth, shiny and very soft- fantastic for babywear

Cashmere, cotton , soy and silk which has a very soft and slightly fluffy feel

Cashmere and cotton blend- a light weight cool summery yarn (DK)

and cashmere and mink- a very exotic and extremely soft fine yarn, suitable for shawls, wraps, baby shawls etc _ please note that the mink is brushed form the tummy area of the mink rather like cashmere and angora are taken from goats and rabbits so there is no cruelty involved.

Bear in mind that you are applying tannic acid over a large area of your body. You might want to do a search on tannic acid warnings to see what symptoms you might have from it. I was told by a physician that it is dangerous to use things like tea on children because the tannic acid could give them unfortunate symptoms.
