We have sourced yet another beautiful shetland lace knitting pattern for an heirloom baby christening shawl. Its so delicate and pretty, and as it would be knitted in cobweb yarn - you can use shetland, cashmere, or our own mink and cashmere blend- it will feel so soft to the touch. Its knitted on circular needles even though its square! Isn't it pretty?
It will take a while to make as it is made in such fine yarn, so you will need to have patience and determination to ensure that you finish it- but it will be worth it as it will make a gorgeous heirloom, or is something which can be made as gifts or to sell for baby shower presents.
If you are thinking of selling them, our advice would be to make it in a luxury yarn as then you will get a better price- if you are taking the time and effort to make this for selling then the price needs to reflect this, and people will certainly pay more for a luxury yarn, which will be so soft to the touch.
